What’s Really Holding You Back
It’s not motivation. It’s decision avoidance.
You don’t have a motivation problem. You have a decision avoidance problem.
You already know what to do.
You’re just keeping 7 options open so you don’t have to commit to one.
Because once you decide, then you’re accountable. And accountability is uncomfortable.
So instead, you procrastinate.
You research more. You think more. You “plan” more. It feels productive.
It’s not.
It’s avoidance in a trench coat.
Clarity doesn’t come from thinking longer. It comes from deciding sooner and then taking action.
Take messy action and learn from your mistakes. Get feedback. Adjust accordingly!
So if you find yourself in a loop of indecision and you have all the information you need, just pick one of your options so you can move forward.
Eenie meenie miney mo if you have to. Then take action in that direction.
Momentum doesn’t come from motivation, it comes from doing things.
Decision → action → momentum.
That’s it. It sounds simple because it is.
Does that make it less scary? No.
Do it anyway!
What’s one decision you’ve been avoiding?
Make it.
Move on it.
Start building momentum.
Progress doesn’t require motivation. It requires decisive action.
If you want to really challenge yourself, make a list of all the decisions you’ve been putting off and start checking them off like a grocery list.
